So this me. Don't judge because I have a wine glass in my hand. Everyone needs a glass of wine or better yet, champagne in their hand. I'm also a Wine Guide, that's my side hustle.

It's been rough since the last time I wrote, but I'm back and hopefully for good.

I'm working on a new self-help book based on this blog. "Ladies, the Power is in Them Shoes" Its a book on empowerment, boundaries, and self-esteem.

Since I've left my full-time job, I've been having a difficult time focusing on anything. I seem to be worrying about something almost every day. Are there any of you out there doing the same thing? I was offered two full-time jobs and for some reason or another, they didn't work out. I turned them down. They were in my field of mental health, but I couldn't see myself doing the work that was required. I have joined a group private practice and I'm working part-time doing that, along with my side hustle, a Traveling Vineyard, Wine Guide. I was actually offered a job that I had applied for earlier in May of this year, and I've been waiting on my start date.  But I started working on the self-help book a couple years ago when I turned 50. It's been rough getting older. I don't mean that in a vain way, but that my body has betrayed me. I mean, come on, rheumatoid arthritis, really?

I'm learning that things are going to be okay no matter what happens. I am the master of my destiny. I am free to make choices that will move me ahead or leave me standing where I am. I am my own BOSS. I've fallen for that #bossbabe because that's me.

What is it that you think is holding you back? What is it that you want to do, but for whatever reason, you aren't taking the steps to make it happen? I challenge you to take some time for yourself. Go into your room, or car, the bathroom, wherever you can have a few moments for yourself and jot down your deepest hopes and dreams. Don't judge it, just let the thoughts come. Remember, this is for you and only you. "If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees." Khalil Gibran

Remember, the power is in them shoes.
